At Pillow Urban Stay, we do love to travel. We also love to learn, constantly improve and educate ourselves, especially on corporate and social responsibility issues. When given the opportunity, what better than combining the joy of exploration with the satisfaction of knowledge?
Such an opportunity was given to us at the World Travel Market 2022 in London! The purpose of our participation in this exhibition was to learn about the importance of Sustainability in Tourism and specifically in the hotel industry, about strategies to integrate sustainability in a city hotel in Greece, but also to raise awareness on issues of Sustainable Development, Responsible Business, and Social Responsibility. Subsequently, the whole Pillow. staff packed our bags and notebooks and took off for London!
Our experience over the three days of this exhibition was revelatory. Through various talks and activities, we became aware of our position on environmental degradation and how we can remedy this through a wide range of measures aimed at avoiding waste and minimizing our environmental footprint. As a city hotel, we were informed about how we can contribute to the sustainable development of our business, such as reducing the consumption of water, energy, and other resources, with an orientation towards good citizenship and appreciation to all of you who trust us every day.
No change is easy. However, when we at the forefront strive on being the change we want to see in the world, everything becomes brighter.
